Miyazakigyu are raised with special care and husbandry for over 30 months in the Miyazaki prefecture of Japan. They are raised by ranchers who have dedicated their lives to caring for these extraordinary cattle. Miyazakigyu are fed for over 600 days on a unique diet including wheat, rice, corn, barley, and other wholesome foods. Their diet promotes "shimofuri", which is the high quality fat content we refer to as marbling.
